Ownora

Terms of Service

VERSION 2026-08-01 · LAST UPDATED 10 AUGUST 2026

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so they are shorter than you might expect.

1 · What Ownora is

Ownora is a place to describe software you wish existed and to find out how many other people need the same thing. That is the entire current function of the service.

2 · What this is not

This section matters more than the rest, so it is stated plainly.

Future phases of this project may introduce funding and company ownership. If they do, they will be separate, explicit, and clearly marked, and they will not apply retroactively to anything you did under these terms.

3 · Your account

4 · What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to display and distribute it as part of running the service.

Do not post:

Ideas posted here are public. Anyone can read them. Publishing an idea is not a confidential disclosure and does not create any obligation of secrecy on anyone who reads it. If your idea depends on secrecy, do not post it.

5 · Moderation

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where practical we will say why. Manipulating interest or membership counts is grounds for immediate suspension without notice, because the integrity of those numbers is the product.

6 · Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. Ideas you published stay up, attributed to a deleted user, because other people registered interest in them. Archive them first if you want them gone.

7 · No warranty

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be available, error-free, or that any idea posted here will ever be built. It is early software and it may change substantially.

8 · Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost opportunity arising from your use of the service.

9 · Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site, and the version number above will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
